Abstract
This working paper is the result of the recently held annual e-seminar of the Linguistic Ethnography Forum (LEF), which took place online between May 20 and June 2, 2013, convened by Jef Van der Aa and Frances Giampapa, members of the LEF Steering Group. The starting point was a discussion paper by Rob Moore on heritage language education in the United States, and this was followed by contributions from Lian Madsen, Jan Blommaert, the Amager Group, Ben Rampton, Julia Snell, Laura Ahearn, Karel Arnaut, Brian Street and Sabina Vakser – to which Rob provided a closing response.
