Working Papers in
Urban Language and Literacies

Engaging with contemporary communicative practice

ABOUT WPULL

Working Papers in Urban Language and Literacies promotes research, teaching and outreach focusing on communication in diverse and stratified settings.

Working Papers in Urban Language and Literacies (WPULL) is a sociolinguistic series that focuses on communicative practice – language, literacy, new media, learning & interaction. WPULL seeks practical applications of research that are productively tuned to the realities of contemporary life.

OUR EDITORIAL APPROACH

WPULL is based in trans-national research cultures in London, Cape Town, Nicosia and Rio de Janeiro.

The series promotes cutting-edge work by early career and established researchers, students and practitioners. As well as academic papers, it carries reviews, extended summaries, interviews, teaching notes, manifestos and position statements, and it aims to extend this range into different languages.

As WPULL is not a conventional journal, we are unable to take unsolicited papers.

LOOK FAMILIAR?

Our papers are also hosted on academia.edu.  But they are hard to search there – our new wpull.org site offers much more flexible access.
